Job Description
The University Advancement teams mission is to engage alumni and friends in ways that are meaningful and impactful to them. The Donor Experience Officer (DXO) role is pivotal in cultivating and strengthening donor relationships aligning donor interests with university needs and inspiring increased philanthropic engagement. Through personalized outreach and innovative digital communication the DXO engages current and potential donors manages a portfolio of donor prospects and will be involved in multiple work assignments that actively support the Universitys fundraising goals by focusing on annual gifts in the $0-$10000 range. As donors grow in their commitment to the University the DXO will make recommendations to transition donors to Leadership or Major Giving levels.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree and 2 years of professional work experience in fundraising direct sales customer service marketing communications or another related field.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills passion for philanthropy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Digital marketing and video creation experience.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelors degree
Professional experience in fundraising non-profit operations alumni relations digital marketing client relations data analytics CRM management community engagement and outreach or another related field.
Knowledge of the Mankato community and the University.
Data analysis experience used in strategic decision making.
Other Requirements
Work safely at all times which includes but is not limited to participating and completing all required safety trainings as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools equipment and personal protective equipment.
The University will sponsor many evening and weekend events (receptions lectures alumni events etc.) Attendance and participation may be expected when donors are present.
The Minnesota State University Mankato Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available for your review. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the University. The policy statements address the schools policies procedures and programs concerning safety and security.
