Primary Skills: Technical expertise and hands-on experience on Riverbed WAN optimization techniques to enhance application performance and data transfer efficiency across WAN.
Experience: 10 years
Required Skills:
o Expertise in Riverbed Steelhead appliances (For e.g. CX EX and DX models) Steelhead mobile Steelhead interceptor etc.
o Understanding of RiOS (Riverbed optimization System)
o Ability to manage Steelhead in data centers branch offices etc.
o Proficiency in Riverbeds Optimization techniques Data Deduplication (SDR) Data Compression (LZ) protocol optimization and transport streamlining
o Configuring packet mode optimization TCP and congestion control QoS and Traffic Shaping
o Application and protocol acceleration techniques
o Configuring in-path rules & peering rules; setting up SteelHead interceptor
o Integrating Steelhead with other network appliances like Cisco and Juniper FWs and routers
o Familiarity with SteelCentral controller tool for centralized management and monitoring
o Monitoring WAN performance using SteelCentral or management console
o Log Analysis and reporting; Analyzing data reduction reports to quantify bandwidth savings.
o Knowledge of Load Balancers other WAN Optimizers and security devices is an additional advantage.
o Familiarity with ITIL Framework concepts such as Incident Change and Problem Management.
o Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
o Flexibility for long working hours and readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts and weekends.
o Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication at all levels.
o Ability to work alone as an individual contributor and as a participant in a team environment.
Preferred Certifications: RCSA-W; RCSP-W; RCPE
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Maintaining computer networks including switches routers WAPs WLCs WAN optimizers and load balancers
o Installing and configuring network equipment.
o Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems.
o Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance.
o Troubleshooting resolving and communicating networking issues.
o Implementing disaster recovery procedures.
o Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best-practice.
o Trouble ticket updates and administration throughout the life of the ticket
o Customer update through issue resolution for Escalated Issues
o Make data driven decisions
o Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting.
o Excellent in doing a RCA for customer network problems.
o Assign/Monitor tickets in shift and make sure of SLA adherence
o Contribute to MoMs Shift Handovers Daily shift summary reports and training documents
o Responsible to coach and mentor associates on new process changes/updates
