Job Description
Location: Altoona PA 16601
Weekly Pay Rate: $2000 - $2160
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: Variable shift
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and general radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
- Position patients safely and effectively to obtain optimal images
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment ensuring proper calibration and performance
- Apply knowledge of anatomy physiology and radiographic techniques to produce high-quality images
- Follow all radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness prior to transmission to the radiologist
- Accurately document patient data and maintain records in PACS/RIS systems
- Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members
- Respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations
- Participate in quality improvement activities as assigned
Requirements:
- ARRT (R) certification (required)
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Active Pennsylvania Radiologic Technologist license
- BLS certification (AHA or equivalent required)
- 1 year of experience in CT and radiology procedures (hospital experience)
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends/holidays as needed
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
