Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging science curricula for students in grades 6-8.
  • Deliver interactive lessons in physics chemistry and biology to enhance student understanding.
  • Evaluate and assess student progress through formal and informal assessments.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student questions and curiosity.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and needs of students.
  • Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance interactivity and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student performance and areas for improvement.
  • Organize science fairs and other educational events to promote science engagement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current in science education.
  • Guide students in laboratory experiments and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Encourage students to participate in science competitions and clubs.
  • Provide mentorship and support for students struggling with science concepts.
  • Prepare instructional materials and resources for classroom use.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Science Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification for the relevant age group.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Science.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of educational technologies.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience with project-based learning methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Proficient in assessment and evaluation strategies.
  • Demonstrated passion for science and education.
  • Flexibility in adapting lesson plans based on student needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with students.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
