We re seeking an experienced Voice Engineer III to join our team in San Antonio TX. In this fully onsite role you ll ensure the continuous secure operation of our DISA voice and video communications environment by leading sustainment maintenance and change-management activities.

Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize a large high-availability IP telephony and video network
Configure troubleshoot and validate voice/video services including call routing search spaces partitions and device profiles
Perform capacity planning and implement approved configuration changes with thorough documentation
Install and manage Cisco or Juniper routers switches and distributed firewall devices
Develop and update technical procedures work instructions and reporting tools
Analyze SIP signaling and call-flow issues to isolate and resolve complex faults
Troubleshoot remote-site registration media path and signaling failures
Review and approve change requests for accuracy and compliance
Conduct detailed fault analysis for voice subscribers call handlers and routing rules
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- DoD-8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security CE)
- Bachelor s degree plus 4 8 years of related experience or Master s degree plus 2 6 years; equivalent combinations considered
- Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise voice platforms (e.g. Cisco CUCM CUBE Unity; Avaya Aura; Oracle SBC)
- Deep understanding of SIP internetworking signaling and call-flow mechanics
- Proven track record of advanced fault analysis across routing switching security and large-scale voice deployments
- Organizational Skills
- Strong documentation habits and comfort with diagramming network topologies
- Familiarity with WAN fundamentals and capacity-planning methodologies
Preferred:
- Knowledge of SRTP (with G.711/G.729 codecs) and DTMF handling
- Experience supporting IPSec/MPLS VPNs and BGP routing
- Background in QoS configuration for voice and critical traffic streams
- Hands-on troubleshooting of IPSec tunnels and distributed firewalls
