Job Description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Wednesday flexible between 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (Sydney Time)
Total Weekly Hours: 20 hours
This part-time role may transition to full-time soon.

Join a growing Australian business as their dedicated Bookkeeper playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bookkeeping using MYOB (AccountRight)

  • Complete bank reconciliations ensuring accurate coding and transaction tracking

  • Monitor and manage the email inbox for basic customer inquiries (invoices statements etc.)

  • Generate reports on open invoices and items requiring follow-up

  • Collaborate with the business owners wife (bookkeeping trained with limited experience)

  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax and GST requirements

  • Provide timely and professional communication during business hours


Scope

  • Core focus on bookkeeping and financial record maintenance

  • Secondary support with email management and basic admin tasks

  • Aligned with Sydney business hours

  • Collaborative supportive role with room to enhance systems and reporting

Requirements
  • Experience working with Australian businesses and understanding of GST and tax compliance

  • Strong proficiency in MYOB (AccountRight); experience in Xero or QuickBooks is a plus

  • Bookkeeping certification preferred

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members

  • Availability during Sydney business hours
