Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role falls into two key areas:
- Take co-responsibility for the strategic leadership of the APAC service area AgChem within Health Sciences. Serve as a member of the Health Sciences APAC Leadership Team and support setting and implementing the strategic direction in alignment with the goals and KPIs of the Global Health Sciences Service Area.
- Lead and develop the APAC service area within APAC Health Sciences work with the APAC HS Leadership Team and team members to develop a business strategy and drive the execution of that strategy. Grow revenue from new and existing clients build competencies use global competencies to enhance work winning develop synergies between countries (i.e. resource sharing work winning strategies leveraging of competencies leveraging of client relationships) enhance Health Sciences service area market position.
Roles and responsibilities
Health Sciences Leadership Team
- Business Planning: HS APAC strategic planning and execution market analysis and business development
- Individual Contribution: Serve as Principal and seller-doer with a target utilization as determined in collaboration with the APAC Health Sciences Director.
- Drive Growth: Drive the growth of profitable revenue enhancing Rambolls market position through marketing business development and other activities. Create an effective framework for development of the respective services to our clients across the world to drive strategic revenue growth. Develop and implement an agreed growth strategy and Business Plan (including financial KPIs) with priority actions for the Service Area.
- Win work: Assistance with major pursuit and proposal efforts including Top Opportunity Management. Monitor market trends and client intelligence and drive preparation of key marketing materials honed to meet market and client demands.
- Technical excellence: Develop and enhance staff development training mentoring and work product quality in alignment with the Service Area strategy direction and business plan priorities including establishing consistent proposal and report templates and scopes where applicable. Reinforce One Ramboll way of working in the Service Area to increase adherence to Ramboll tools and processes.
- Drive synergies between countries: Facilitate resource and knowledge sharing drive work winning strategies leveraging of competencies between countries leveraging of client relationships between countries promoting coordination and cohesiveness among practitioners globally.
- Develop local and global capabilities. Devise key strategies to secure market leading capabilities throughout the HS Service Area business; lead APAC recruitment plan for the Service Area.
- Knowledge-sharing and coordination: Lead cross-Geo forums to facilitate knowledge transfer and collaborative innovation among teams working in the Service Area.
- Foster innovation: Promote the integration of new methodologies tools and practices to continuously improve the Service Areas value proposition quality and efficiency. Thought leadership and branding/marketing for Service Area growth and expansion (e.g. new products subservices geographies and identification of/assistance with hires innovation/digitalisation efforts). Assure proper visibility in the marketplace (i.e. speaking at conferences publications) from a business development/thought leadership perspective.
Desired skills/experience
- Ten to fifteen years in working with the agrochemical industry (trade association authority industry consulting) preferred with experience in registration and other regulatory obligation in regards of plant protection pesticides fungicides and insecticides products
- Ability to support internal and external clients with both technical and strategic consulting services
- Hands on experience with registration dossiers in multiple APAC countries such as China Japan Korea Australia and India)
- People management and development of teams across multiple countries
- Project Management experience with complex multiyear projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Good presentation skills and business sense
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated personal commitment to achieving high standards for quality and excellence in technical work products
- English language skills is a must have; other language skills i.e. Mandarin is a plus
