Controls Engineer / PLC Controls Engineer / Senior Controls Engineer required for a manufacturer of pipes and tubing offering a range of products for construction energy and industrial applications based in Rochelle IL.
The successful Controls Engineer / PLC Controls Engineer / Senior Controls Engineer will have 5 years experience as a Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer / PLC Controls Engineer Responsibilities
Oversee and optimize plant systems for safety efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Evaluate site conditions and gather data for upcoming projects in collaboration with the team.
Develop and customize PLC and drive programming for Allen Bradley SAF and Rexroth components.
Address safety issues related to mill hazards electrical systems and programming promptly.
Support the specification and integration of control devices like PLCs sensors and VFDs.
Prepare bills of materials purchase requests and technical documentation for Maintenance Manager approval.
Assist or lead site personnel and contractors during construction and start-up phases.
Review project proposals RFQs and supplier bids and provide recommendations.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues with maintenance and operations teams.
Maintain and improve plant-wide production control systems and manage software change records.
Controls Engineer / PLC Controls Engineer Requirements
5 years experience working in a similar position - Controls Engineer / PLC Controls Engineer / Senior Controls Engineer
Experience with PLC programming Allen Bradley
Experience with HMI systems PanelView/Wonderware
Working knowledge of ESA code
Experience as AC/DC program manager
Proficient with AutoCAD for creating and modifying drawings
Commutable to Rochelle IL
