Job Description
What will you be doing
As a Piping Engineer- you will join our team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Leading mechanical design activities including wall thickness buckling spanning expansion and routing studies.
- Producing clear and concise specifications datasheets technical reports and requisitions.
- Acting as the Intelligent Customer working closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to develop detailed designs and manufacturing solutions.
- Contributing to design strategies related to Examination Through Life Assessments Component Safety Classification Ageing Management Material Selection and Fluid Phenomena Design.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant design codes and standards.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to analyse complex problems propose innovative solutions and ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Masters degree in Mechanical engineering Piping engineering or a field related to Piping systems.
- Familiarity with PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) design operations and UK nuclear licensee projects.
- Understanding of Nuclear and Euro Design Codes (ASME III EN13480 ASME B31.3 RCCM ASCE 7-10).
- Operational lebvel in French and english
- Ability to analyze complex challenges propose innovative solutions and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Knowledge of Pipe Stress and Seismic analysis tools like AutoPIPE PepS Caesar II PSA5.
