Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Data IntegrationPlatform/System Administrator. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining our enterprise data platforms ensuring their optimal performance security and reliability. This role will work closely with various teams to support various platform needs and to implement best practices for platform management. The administrator will act as point of contact for resolving any platform-related issues or data challenges. They will play a key role in our data governance initiative ensuring that the organizations data is properly governed secured and compliant with relevant regulations.
- The position will be required to perform maintenance and remediation of data environments outside of normal work hours when necessary.
- This is a full-time permanent position with the Nucor Business Technology Team.
- A willingness to travel periodically and domestically is required to satisfy project or training demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the data governance platform and ensure it is integrated with other systems in the enterprise (e.g. data lakes data warehouses data pipelines business intelligence tools)
Monitor and maintain data enterprise platforms ensuring their optimal performance security and reliability.
Assist in creating and enforcing data governance policies including data privacy security retention and access policies.
Implement and enforce platform management best practices and standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues in a timely manner.
Document platform configurations processes and procedures.
Coordinate with internal teams to support platform-related needs and requirements.
Implement and manage user roles permissions and data access policies to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive data. (Role-based Access Control: (RBAC)
Regularly conduct access reviews and audits to ensure that access levels are appropriate and meet governance requirements.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered.
- 3 years experience in platform/system administration or a similar role.
- Experience using platforms such as: INFORMATICA Intelligent Cloud Solutions Databricks Control M or Microsoft Fabrics
- INFORMATICA preferred
- Certifications in platform/systemadministration or related areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Immigration or work via sponsorship will not be provided for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using platforms such as: INFORMATICA Intelligent Cloud Solutions Databricks Control M or Microsoft Fabric
- Exposure to Data Governance
- Strong knowledge of platform management best practices and standards.
