What is the opportunity
The Senior Process Automation Specialist is responsible for leading supporting and executing automation projects and initiatives to enable the Operations Effectiveness and Quality Assurance teams for RBC Insurance.
This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts and analysts to design develop test and implement automated solutions to improve quality and reduce cycle time. The role will develop solutions leveraging Python and/or other open-source programming languages as well as provide support to larger transformation projects and strategies involving the use of AI and LLM.
What will you do
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to document processes identify areas for improvement capture requirements and design and implement solutions
Design develop test and implement automated solutions to enable straight-through processing leveraging Python and/or other open-source programming languages
Develop test and implement data pipelines to automate data sourcing and wrangling from various applications and databases by leveraging SQL Python Selenium and NLP/LLM
Work with Operations Effectiveness leadership team to identify and implement strategic initiatives to drive business value and generate efficiencies
Support the implementation of new technologies and information systems capabilities to improve process and generate efficiency
What will you need to succeed
Must have
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in process and data automation and a proven track record of developing and implementing automated solutions
Direct experience in automation and programming with Python and experience with NLP
Proficient with data sourcing wrangling and analytics and with RDBMS SQL and/or ETL tools
A self-starter solution-oriented and a strong advocate for change adaptability and continuous learning and improvement
Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
Post-secondary degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
AI/ML related certifications
