Supervises and directs professional and support staff for the Revenue Cycle ensuring effective use of employees equipment & materials within budget & quality standards. Responsible for full spectrum of human resources and operational functions and workflows including but not limited to performance management attendance management training and quality. Identifies trends performs tactical planning and carries out strategic plans. Ensures staff has the resources to carry out their responsibilities. Optimizes staff productivity and service; resolves work place problems of team and processes; develops policies procedures and guidelines. Possesses the technical knowledge of the function being supervised. Implements retention and recruitment planning initiatives. Participates in the overall management of Revenue Cycle teams through involvement in Enterprise-wide projects work groups task forces councils and committees. Serves as liaison between area of responsibility and other constituents inside and outside of Mayo. Acts as the subject matter expert for assigned areas of supervision members of the management team and different sections within the Revenue Cycle and multiple areas outside of the Revenue Cycle. Maintains expert knowledge of workflows within the scope of responsibility and optimizes the use of available technology. May require occasional travel.
High School diploma and five years of relevant management experience OR Bachelors degree and one year of relevant financial experience OR Masters degree PC skills both keyboarding and applications. Knowledge of and experience with Finance systems and applications preferred. Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Certification Preferred.
