Job Description
IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Data Entry Assistant in our Newark New Jersey location. The Administrative Data Entry Assistant is responsible for providing support to several claims professionals. Please note this position requires working from the office Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up surety claims files.
- Maintaining and updating Microsoft Excel database.
- Preparing initial responses to new surety bond claims by generating and mailing correspondence.
- Calendaring important milestone dates for new claims.
- Serving as an important point of contact for communications with claimants bond principals and other parties.
- Maintaining electronic claim files by scanning documents and then classifying and saving them to our electronic claims system.
- Handlingconfidential information professionally and consistent with IAT policies.
Qualifications:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Equivalent is defined as having 4 years of relevant experience
- Dependable/punctual
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency withMS Office software (e.g. MS Word MS Excel MS Outlook MS Access) and ability to learn and follow company claims systems and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with lawyers company employees and external clients
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions conclusions or approaches to problems
- To qualify applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship now or in the future for employment purposes.

Compensation:
Please note if you live in New Jersey the typical range for this role will be $19/hour to $30/hour. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the hourly rate for this position in this location. Actual hourly rate will vary based on factors such as a candidates qualifications skills competencies and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary performance-based bonus opportunities 401(K) match profit-sharing opportunities and more.
