Job Description
Position Summary:
Reporting and working under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager and alongside Electrical Team members this co-op position will support the Electrical Engineering Department in project work as well as providing support to our manufacturing operations in North America.
Key Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create edit and update electrical schematics and layout drawings in AutoCAD based on input from supervisor or team members
- Create and update spreadsheets used for bill of material lists cable schedules job tracking estimating etc.
- Develop and update documentation
- Assist senior engineers with their responsibilities
- Assist in PLC programming as per project requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in University
- Excellent organization and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Strong communication (written verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish priorities and work effectively in a team
- Works well independently
- Understanding of basic electrical theory and control circuits
- Understanding of Basic PLC programming in ladder logic
- Ability to create and edit AutoCAD drawings
