Job Description

As a regional mental health center we are the hub of inpatient and outpatient mental health services and serve a diverse set of patients in a variety of settings.
OUR OPPORTUNITY
- We are seeking a full-time in-person Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work on our inpatient mental health unit. This person will provide direct patient care including diagnostic assessments determining medication regimen developing and implementing the treatment plan coordinating care and working with the multi-disciplinary team or nurses and social workers on discharge planning. This position will mostly work on our 12-bed locked mental health unit.
- The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will also complete hospital-wide consults to patients in the Emergency Department Med Surg/ICU unit and OB along with providing consultation services to primary care physicians.

OUR PRACTICE
- Provides a continuum of care for patients with a team of five psychiatrists: including two adult psychiatrists and three child and adolescent psychiatrists.
- Colleagues include nurses social workers and a child/adolescent psychiatrist working in our inpatient mental health unit and mental health professionals working in our outpatient mental health clinic including psychologists a neuropsychologist pediatric psychologist CBT and DBT practicing therapists and two chemical dependency professionals.
