Were seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technicianto join our growing team! Reliability trustworthiness and consistency in attendance are crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact as a Maintenance Technician
In this role you will:
- Lead Maintenance Operations: Hire train and supervise the maintenance team to ensure efficient facility upkeep.
- Promote Safety & Compliance: Conduct and document fire control system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills.
- Oversee Preventive Maintenance: Establish and implement a preventive maintenance program to proactively address facility needs.
- Ensure Equipment Efficiency: Maintain and repair facility equipment including HVAC systems boilers water systems washers dryers and emergency power generators.
- Manage Supplies & Budget: Order and maintain an adequate stock of supplies and equipment while staying within budget constraints.
- Supervise Contractors: Oversee outside contractors performing repairs or maintenance work.
- Maintain Facility Standards: Ensure that all physical plant and equipment are in safe operational condition and meet compliance regulations.
- Support Training Initiatives: Provide job-specific training to department employees to uphold safety and operational standards.
- Coordinate Facility Hours: Schedule department shifts in alignment with census needs and labor budgets.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Were seeking someone who:
- Has experience in facility maintenance preferably in healthcare or long-term care settings.
- Holds knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems boiler and water systems and other essential facility equipment.
- Understands preventive maintenance principles and has experience implementing maintenance programs.
- Possesses strong communication and leadership skills to train and coordinate staff effectively.
- Is detail-oriented with the ability to manage a facility maintenance budget.
- HVAC experience is preferred but not required.
