As a global-leading health and well-being provider TELUS Health is committed to building a healthier and friendlier future forall. This is why we partner with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries to operate the Informed Gambling Centre within the casinos. This team responds to guests inquiries on safe play educate guests on responsible gambling share information and resources and ensure that individuals have a positive play experience.

How you will make an impact:

  • You will educate the public on healthy gambling practices explain how the games operate and provide information on community resources when needed;

  • You will assess the needs of visitors to determine appropriate course of action;

  • You will plan appropriate intervention strategies for guests exhibiting problem gambling behaviours by consulting with casino staff and other appropriate professionals;

  • You will coordinate special educational and awareness events in conjunction with the Social Responsibility Department;

  • You will offer support and guidance to individuals who wish to enroll in the casinos voluntary self-exclusion program;

  • You will contribute to the development and upkeep of a resource library of gambling related material by researching and sourcing current community resources.

What you bring:

  • You have a bachelors degree in Social Sciences Human Services Social Work;

  • You have at least two years of customer service experience;

  • You have prior experience interacting with a vulnerable population;

  • You have strong interpersonal skills and can easily engage conversation with the public;

  • You demonstrate patience and empathy;

  • You have the ability to work independently;

  • You have experience with basic computer tasks;

  • You are available to work Sunday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm.
