Job Description

Job Title:Sr Analyst - Payment Processing

Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

This position is responsible for conducting complex data analysis identifying/ implementing solutions and providing recommendations to various cross-functional groups on technology projects operational procedures/policies and customer related issues that impact the corporation. Participate in system and/or process improvement initiatives as well as plan conduct and provide oversight of analysis for the functional area. Individuals will touch a wide variety of data associated with the timeliness and accuracy of customer billing payment processing and credit & collections functions. A person in this role may be required to stand in for their manager and/or supervisor.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives processes and requirements related to payment channel improvements/deployment. Conduct comprehensive analysis to translate business needs into clear concise and actionable business requirements (product features business rules data sources formulas). Summarize and organize complex information arising from multiple business planning sessions ensuring the information accurately reflects the discussion and decisions that occurred during the sessions.
  • Technology Integration: Work closely with the IT & cross-functional business teams to ensure a seamless integration of payment technologies into existing business processes. Provide expertise in identifying opportunities for business process improvements and payment experience enhancements. Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making processes. Collaborate with data scientists to develop and refine reporting & data analysis based on business requirements. Participate in testing activities and assist in the resolution of identified issues.
  • Vendor Management: Monitor and document vendor performance and enforce service level agreements. Actively participate in meetings with vendors to monitor payment channel performance and quality of customer experience. Provide input on vendor contracts performance and vendor selection to leadership.
  • Data Management and Security: Expertise in handling sensitive customer payment and operational data in compliance with industry regulations. Understanding data governance principles and ensuring the secure and ethical use of data in payment channels and business applications.
  • Change Management Support: Support Business Change Management with product demonstrations communications materials job aids and help track user adoption on a regular frequency.
  • Collaboration: Interact with department management and leadership throughout the organization to identify issues that warrant future projects.
  • Reporting: Analyze complex operational data and information and provide reports forecasting/trend analysis and recommendations to appropriate work groups.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and identify areas of opportunity to improve reports analytical tools and self-service capabilities in collaboration with other departments to drive efficiency and support operational decision-making.
  • Leadership: Mentor junior analysts on various tasks such as time and/or project management data analyses identifying process improvements and other related areas. Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelors Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience. Desired: Masters Degree.

Minimum experience required of the position

At least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience with degree; OR in lieu of degree minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience

Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the position

  • High degree of proficiency of Microsoft Office: Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in data visualization tools: Power BI SASS and/or Tableau.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in leading multiple levels of projects and/or assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (must be able to communicate with all levels)
  • Exceptional presentations and reporting skills (suitable for use with executives regulators and key constituents outside of the Company)
  • Must be adept to learning Entergys customer service/accounting systems
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making

Office environment with minimal physical requirements.
