Air Products and Chemicals Inc has an exciting opening for an Account Manager for a semiconductor customer located in Chandler AZ or can be US remote based.

This position has responsibility for business development and overall account management of the southwestern US portfolio with the goals of retention margin enhancement risk management and capturing growth/expansion opportunities.

The incumbent should possess strong account management skills to include exceptional written and verbal communications strong internal and external negotiation skills interpersonal skills the ability to identify and build critical account relationships strong analytic/critical thinking skills and judgment financial and customer assessment abilities as well as strong collaborative skills.

The Account Manager will interface closely with the semiconductor customer and ensure that Air Products provides safe reliable and quality supply of products and services to this important account.

This position reports to the Global Strategic Account Manager is a high-visibility position within Air Products West region and provides an outstanding platform for personal and professional growth.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Be Air Products commercial contact for this strategic electronics customer in the southwestern US

  • Develop document and implement a clear account strategy for this customer in the southwestern US in alignment with the global account strategy

  • Identify and pursue winnable profitable growth and expansion opportunities within the portfolio and develop strategies (Commercial Technology On-sites engineering capabilities) to positively differentiate Air Products

  • Develop deal summaries aligned with Regional Delegations of Authority and deliver opportunity reviews promptly to obtain necessary approvals for proposals.

  • Understand administer and improve contractual terms and conditions

  • Drive success through a network of colleagues that include other customer facing representatives Business Management Engineering Quality Logistics and global counterparts

Qualifications

  • High levels of self-motivation and self-direction with a desire and proven ability to achieve within a target driven environment

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to achieve win/win solutions with customers

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; financial skills and experience are a plus

  • A dedicated driven approach with a commitment to getting it right with a never-ending desire to learn improve & contribute

  • Prior assignments in Sales Business Management Asset Management Finance Procurement Technology Engineering or Marketing

  • Knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practice including aspects of negotiation and contract law

  • Minimum 5 years of prior commercial or engineering experience preferably with exposure to the semiconductor/electronics industry. Experience in the industrial gases industry is a plus.
