Platform Engineer
We are looking for a Infrastructure Administrator to join our Platform Engineering team and take ownership of the systems and environments that support our core data and application platforms. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for a seasoned developer or administrator with a deep understanding of backend systems automation and platform operations.
You will work closely with software engineers SREs and data teams to ensure that our Elastic Data backends Java APIs MongoDB clusters and Hadoop/Spark platforms are performant secure and scalable.
Own the provisioning configuration and lifecycle management of platform infrastructure across development staging and production.
Ensure operational stability and performance of Elastic MongoDB Hadoop Spark and Java-based backend services.
Automate infrastructure tasks (e.g. server provisioning cluster scaling patching) using tools such as Ansible Terraform or Python.
Collaborate with platform engineers and developers to optimize serving layers and data-processing pipelines.
Perform root cause analysis and support incident resolution for infrastructure-related issues.
Contribute to architectural decisions related to platform resilience capacity and automation strategy.
Maintain up-to-date documentation operational runbooks and SOPs for infrastructure components.
Technical skills:
5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering systems administration or platform operations.
Strong experience with MongoDB Hadoop and Spark including cluster deployment tuning and fault tolerance.
Deep knowledge of Linux-based environments shell scripting system performance tuning and process automation.
Familiarity with supporting Java-based application stacks and middleware.
Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (Ansible Terraform or equivalent).
Solid understanding of hybrid environments and networking fundamentals
