This role in a nutshell:

Youll take ownership of QA activities across multiple agile squads with a strong focus on test automation coordination of testing efforts and stakeholder communication. You will manage the QA JIRA boards help align testing with release cycles and ensure quality is embedded in the development process.

This is a hands-on technical role with significant automation work and light coordination duties - perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative cross-functional team and enjoys being the quality champion on the ground.

Your key outcomes will be:

• Design build and maintain automated test suites (E2E API UI) to ensure confidence in releases.
• Coordinate testing activities across squads helping plan test coverage and manage QA tasks on JIRA.
• Update key stakeholders on test progress blockers and quality status during release planning.
• Collaborate with engineers product managers and designers to define testable acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to CI/CD test pipelines and integrate test automation into delivery workflows (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Drive quality initiatives like shift-left testing exploratory testing and test coverage reviews.
• Help maintain clear visibility of QA status via dashboards or observability tooling (e.g. DataDog).

Youll be a successful Senior QA Engineerhere at OVO if you

• Have strong experience with test automation (e.g. Cypress Playwright REST-assured etc.).
• Are confident working across web mobile and API test layers.
• Enjoy collaborating with developers PMs and designers to drive quality early in the process.
• Are proactive in spotting quality risks and suggesting practical improvements.
• Are comfortable managing test plans test execution status and QA backlog in tools like JIRA.
• Are excited by ownership and autonomy and thrive in a lean empowered team.
• Have some experience mentoring and leading more junior colleagues.

Well pay you between 60000 and 70000 depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us and you flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

Youll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
