About the role
Ventia have a opportunity for a SHEQ Advisor to join our close knit and long standing Australian Marine Complex (AMC) team. This role is based within the AMC Common User Facility (AMC CUF) in Henderson. This is a Part time position working 3 days a week fixed term for 12 months.
The AMC CUF is a multi-industry multi-user industrial facility serviced by a deep-water port a floating dock and transfer system specialised load out wharves extensive laydown and assembly areas and several large fabrication halls.
Key duties but not limited to:
- Inform and implement all SHEQ Management Plans across the project
- Review and support onboarding of Contractors within the SHEQ elements and effectively manage performance
- Implement processes to ensure communication and compliance with all policies and procedures including fostering a culture of safety and health above all else
- Maintain risk assessments and risk registers in compliance with Company standards
- Deliver the requirements within the Business improvement plans in line with the SHEQ strategy
What we are looking for:
- The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and a positive team culture
- Tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Formal Training in incident investigation (ICAM) is desirable
- Understanding of working in a Marine environment
- The ability to follow instructions work within guidelines identify problems and seek advice to resolve issues
