POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is a challenging multi-faceted job which requires excellent organizational technical and human relations skills. In addition to working within the school setting with students and professional staff alike the coordinator will also be expected to work closely with members of the business community.
This position follows a 10-month work schedule typically aligned with the academic calendar. However due to critical year-end responsibilities including CTE Data Reporting and financial deadlines for grants (June 30) the employee may be required to work an additional 10 to 15 days in May and/or June. Flexibility in scheduling these additional days will be coordinated in advance to ensure compliance with all reporting and funding requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in education Career and Technical Education or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent (in the last 5 years) experience working in a high school CTE program.
- Experience in data collection and analysis including standardized test proctoring and related data.
- Experience with Arizona School finance related requirements.
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (preferred).
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card.
- Hold a valid drivers license
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the CTE Director in planning implementing and evaluating CTE programs.
- Assist in the development implementation execution and evaluation of work-based learning programs and internships to provide students with real-world experience and industry exposure with business partners within Perkins Grant and State guidelines.
- Coordinate with CTE Director and teachers to ensure curriculum alignment and program effectiveness related to federal state and local guidelines.
- Collect analyze and report data related to student performance program outcomes and industry trends across the district including CAVIT and CAC. Maintain accurate records and files for the CTE Department.
- Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with local businesses and industry leaders.
- Assist in the preparation of grant application budgeting and management of grantfunded projects.
- Support the stewardship of district property and follow inventory management policies and procedures.
- Assist with student recruitment and CTE promotional events across the elementary and high school districts.
- Organize professional development opportunities for CTE staff on the recommendation of CTE Director. Arrange for travel as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for grant compliance reporting purposes.
- Provide administrative support to the CTE Director as needed including procurement and accounts payable support and related record keeping.
- Support student CTE-related activities including work-based learning CTSO activities competitions and district or site events. Organizing events and arranging for travel as needed.
- Support and assist with district and site College and Career Readiness activities.
- Some travel for professional development on-site support or other district interests.
- Proctor and coordinate Technical Skills Assessment and Industry Credentials testing in all programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Exempt 10-month contract/work agreement. Placement on Classified Exempt salary schedule by the Director of Human Resources dependent upon education and experience.

- Must be United States citizen or have valid work visa at date of hire with the ability to maintain. All changes in visa status must be reported to Human Resources immediately. Photo identification and work visa (if necessary) will be needed for f ingerprint clearance card and I-9 documentation prior to the first day of work.

- Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit for extended periods of time. The employee must use hands arms and fingers to input data handle feel or reach. While performing the duties of this job the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 25lbs such as boxes supplies files tables etc... or occasionally more with assistance from other staff . Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material and the ability to adjust focus close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision and depth perception. The ability to work outdoors during varied weather conditions if necessary. The ability to drive.

- Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Boards policy on the Evaluation of Classified Personnel.

Occasional travel may be required for site visits meetings training and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
* Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by an acceptable translator. Additionally each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework by an acceptable agency such as those agencies certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
