How youll fix communication in healthcare as a Privacy Lead...
As a key member of the Accurx Privacy Team you will help build and embed a privacy-first culture across the organisation. Youll engage with a wide range of stakeholders navigating complex conversations with clarity and professionalism. Leading privacy projects from start to finish youll ensure privacy is a core part of everything we do.
You will work closely with the Information Security Team and other experts to maintain compliance with regulatory and health data standards. Supporting the Head of Data Protection and CISO youll help shape and drive our data protection strategy continuously improving controls and processes.
A close partnership with Product teams is essential so youll need a strong interest in how Accurx products work and how to support building compliant products with privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles. This broad role also includes compliance advisory and regulatory responsibilities
Your day to day tasks should you choose to accept this mission
Act as Accurxs expert on data protection laws including UK GDPR and PECR
Act as a strategic partner to Product Engineering Go-to-Market teams and senior stakeholders to embed privacy by design and ensure compliance
Recommend pragmatic compliant and scalable controls to mitigate privacy risks whilst enabling innovation
Lead privacy risk assessments data subject rights requests and data breach responses
Oversee and manage privacy risks related to third parties such as suppliers and vendors ensuring they meet data protection standards
Drive data protection audits and help maintain regulatory certifications
Keep the business informed on privacy law changes and guide strategic privacy decisions

Youre an experienced privacy professional with strong knowledge of data protection laws able to apply them pragmatically in fast-paced environments
Youre a consultative and clear communicator who builds trusted cross-functional relationships with product engineering GTM teams and external partners
Youre risk-aware and a strategic thinker who balances compliance with business priorities driving privacy initiatives end-to-end with accountability
Youre a proactive self-reflective leader who learns from experience owns projects fully and communicates transparently to support effective decision-making
