The recent acquisition of Aspers Casino in Newcastle UK further expands its international footprint and enhances its diverse entertainment offerings. It also owns Ballys Interactive International formerly Gamesys Group a leading global interactive gaming operator Bally Bet a first-in-class sports betting platform and Bally Casino a growing iCasino platform.
With 10600 employees the Companys casino operations include approximately 15300 slot machines 580 table games and 3800 hotel rooms. Ballys also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana.
Upon completion of the announce merger with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. (Queen) the above portfolio is expected to be supplemented with four additional casinos across three states one of which will be an additional state that expands Ballys jurisdiction of operations to include the state of Iowa. Queen will also add over 900 employees and operations that currently include approximately 2400 slot machines 50 table games and 150 hotel rooms to the Ballys portfolio. Ballys will also become the successor of Queens significant economic stake in a global lottery management and services business through its investment in Intralot S.A. (ATSE: INLOT).
The Role:
As a Surveillance Technician you will support the overall integrity of gaming as well as the protection of all guests employees and Company assets.
Responsibilities:
Foster an environment that embodies Ballys Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled entertaining atmosphere
Enthusiastically promote Ballys customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
Monitor the overall integrity of the video and access control network server deployment security and connectivity throughout the LAN (Local Area Network) infrastructure
Assist in the design deployment and installation of video and access control infrastructure fringe device upgrades additions and expansions
Perform maintenance repairs and replacements of cameras servers desktop workstations printers routers encoders switches archivers storage arrays and fringe devices such as cameras access control hardware cabling and handheld radio units
Advise and assist in the procurement of new hardware
Roll out new software installs/patches
Monitor the performance of the video and access control network
Assist in a preventative maintenance program to mitigate technical equipment failure-related risks
Manage static stock inventory of technical equipment and supplies
Manage and maintain the facility radio system
Assist with the surveillance systems user training program of surveillance supervisors and operators
Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding all surveillance information including camera coverage investigations and proprietary material
Perform duties as surveillance operator as needed
Protect the overall integrity of gaming at the casino
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
Must have above-average math skills
Must have strong organizational and decision-making abilities
Must have excellent customer and employee relations skills
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work flexible shifts including weeknights weekends and holiday
