Job Description

Compliance Specialist

  • Salary Range: $26 - $31.20/hr based on relevant years of experience
  • Location: Larimer county Colorado
  • Status: Full Time- 40 Hours
  • Hours: Monday - Friday

Role Overview:

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance activities to ensure the organization operates within applicable laws regulations and internal policies. This role leads the development and maintenance of policies and procedures and manages facility licensing efforts across the organization. The Compliance Specialist monitors organizational practices identifies compliance risks and works cross-functionally to implement corrective actions and maintain regulatory compliance and readiness. This position will professionally and respectively lead discussions and communication surrounding compliance topics effectively across all levels of the organization.

Essential Duties:

  • Creates updates and maintains the agencys policies procedures and forms.
  • Complete all functions for the facility credentialing and recredentialing processes; trackrequest maintain current and accurate licenses/certifications for all facilities; assist in development of internal credentialing process.
  • Conduct research on updated state and federal regulations and policies.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits and surveys across the agency; provide support for external audit and survey functions.
  • Facilitates discussions across the organization to determine opportunities to improve and operationalize processes.
  • Monitors the compliance inbox and provides responses to a variety of questions and support needs across the organization.
  • Conducts compliance trainings as needed for the teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with various departments and regulatory bodies to facilitate a smooth licensing process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required
  • More than two years of experience in compliance technical writing or other related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered

Highly Desired:

  • Valid Colorado drivers license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required.
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred.
