The Role
The Social Impact Advisor reports to the Head of Social Impact & Sustainability Manager and will be responsible for the administration implementation promotion and coordination of responsible business activities primarily volunteering and social mobility initiatives across Norton Rose Fulbright LLP (EMEA).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the ongoing support and implementation of Norton Rose Fulbrights responsible business strategy ensuring the programme aligns with Norton Rose Fulbrights business principles namely Quality Unity and Integrity.
- Coordination and administrative support to the social impact programme with particular focus on the firms social mobility and volunteering initiatives.
- Be seen as a champion and encourage the responsible business and community support interests within Norton Rose Fulbright LLP and co-ordinate projects to reflect these interests (where appropriate) and encourage consistent contribution to community support across all practice areas.
- Assist the Head of Social Impact & Sustainability Manager with the administration of Norton Rose Fulbright LLP Charitable Foundation
- Liaising with internal stakeholders including Head of Pro bono Head of Responsible Business & Wellbeing; Diversity and Inclusion Manager Marketing & Communications and Learning & Development teams to ensure a joint- up approach to responsible business
- Sit and participate in the Core working group for the firms strategic charitable partner
- End to end delivery of the firms work experience programme RISE and administration and delivery support of Scholars the Norton Rose Fulbright bursary
- Administration and delivery of the firms schools outreach and social mobility programme
- Working with the Diversity & Inclusion Manager to engage with employee resource groups on their fundraising endeavors
- Assist the Head of Social Impact & Sustainability Manager in liaising with external stakeholders including the firms charitable partners and those seeking funding from the Norton Rose Fulbright LLP Charitable Foundation
- Assisting with admin as it relates to the intranet and working on community pro bono and sustainability pages
- Working with the Internal Communications team to coordinate communications such as plasma screens news articles and intranet carousels in order to promote responsible business events and initiatives
- Implementing and supporting key responsible business initiatives programmes and projects as needed including mentoring programmes and client social impact partnerships
- Act as a point of contact for employees with an interest in or query about social impact and volunteering.
- Participate and assist with minute taking as a member of such committees as the practice shall appoint for the management of its responsible business activities including the Norton Rose Fulbright Charitable Foundation and Responsible business committee
- Support the Head of Social Impact and Sustainability Manager in working with the bids team in relation to requests for responsible business input
- Administration as it relates to centrally organised volunteering opportunities including promotion and liaising with volunteers prior to event
External Management
- Liaise with community groups corporate responsibility organisations/networks and other firms to develop and identify and keep up to date with best practice in pro bono and community support.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team to collate information in order to build external recognition of the social impact activities award nominations and directory submissions to highlight social impact work across Norton Rose Fulbrights digital assets.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team to update the annual Responsible business report for Norton Rose Fulbright.
Internal Communication and Promotion
- Update and develop the intranet in relation to social impact to publicise appropriate activities and successes across EMEA.
- Liaise with the Diversity and Inclusion Manager.
- Liaise with Social Impact Managers globally.
- Liaise with Marketing and Communications team .

- Experience in a professional services organisation would be an advantage
