Responsibilities
Identifying analyzing and leading the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Participating in product launches and changes by determining product costing and facilitating the commissioning of launches onto the production floor.
Continuously learning and becoming proficient in problem-solving continuous improvement methodologies product manufacturability and best manufacturing practices.
Supporting each product value stream by providing comprehensive job instruction details training production staff and conducting process audits.
Creating and maintaining shop floor layouts production line configurations machine capacity details and labor cost standards.
Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives within the value stream focusing on labor and material efficiency.
Providing support to all departments as needed to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
Upholding a culture of respect positivity and productivity and actively contributing to shared team goals.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering program preferably in mechanical industrial or manufacturing engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for process improvement and optimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Design software (i.e. AutoCad SolidWorks) a plus.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Eagerness to learn and grow professionally within the manufacturing engineering field.
Previous internship or coursework related to manufacturing engineering is a plus.
