The Behavioral Health Provider (BHP)- Position provides direct clinical services to pediatric patients (birth-18) patients. Services provided include brief assessment and evidenced based psychotherapy interventions for patients living with medical mental health and substance use disorders. This includes performing advance comprehensive assessment and analysis of complex psycho-social factors and coordination for patients receiving medication supported recovery. The position also involves support care givers and other individuals supporting patients through care collaboration skills training and providing resources and care coordination with community entities supporting the patient. As a member of the clinic medical team the BHP provides a vital consultation role to team members. The BHP regularly advises providers and medical team members on the full-spectrum of behavioral health and substance use conditions/diagnoses and appropriate/available behavioral health and substance use treatment options. The position also requires mental health pediatric experience as well as being licensed or working towards hours for a LCSWLPC and PsyD. The position is located in the Multnomah County Medical Clinics which is a covered Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) under the Bureau of Primary Health Care and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The position creates a work culture of respect trust and understanding for the highly diverse populations the Community Health Department serves in the office and in the community. This position will provide support at the North East Health Center East County Health Center and Mid County Heath Center as well as provide as needed services to the North Portland South East and Fern Hill Health Centers.
