Branch Librarian Lead Your Local Library with GRLC
Queenscliff VIC
Part-time Permanent I 0.7 - 49 hours fortnight

The Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC) is seeking a dynamic Branch Librarian to lead one of our vibrant community libraries. In this pivotal role you will manage daily operations support a passionate team and activate the library space for community learning connection and inspiration.


What youll do:

  • Deliver library services programs and events that meet the diverse needs of your community
  • Supervise and support a small team fostering capability and collaboration
  • Manage collections rosters and the day-to-day running of the library
  • Build strong local partnerships and conduct targeted outreach
  • Ensure your library remains welcoming inclusive and forward-thinking



What youll bring:

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field or experience managing library services
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and community engagement abilities
  • A passion for public libraries and a community-first approach
  • Tech-savvy with experience in library systems and digital resources
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • WWCC (Employee) & recent Police Check required

Who we are:
GRLC delivers inclusive innovative and accessible library services across 5 local government areas. We operate 20 libraries Victorias largest regional archive and heritage centre and a 25-stop mobile library service.

The successful candidate will also be required to provide the following:

a Police check (no older than 6 months)
a current Employee Victorian Working with Children Check prior to commencing your employment with GRLC

The successful candidate must provide a clear Victorian Employee Working with Children Check and national police check prior to commencement.
