Waterville Elementary School is seeking an experienced individual to oversee our planning room in our small rural school. We are looking for someone with experience working with children in a school setting and has a solid understanding of trauma and how it affects the brain and learning regulation strategies function of behavior and is committed to collaboratively maintaining a safe and healthy Duties and ResponsibilitiesDedicated to improving WES PBIS plan and using restorative practices to improve the school culture and behavioral expectationsServe as the point person for enforcing behavioral expectations and consequences to hold students accountableServe as the point person for de-escalating dysregulated students and helping them learn coping strategies to self-regulateCreate presentations and work directly with students on how to make good behavioral choices and understand the school-wide behavior expectationsEnsure school staff members are supported in successfully implementing PBIS/RP systemsMaintain office referral data entry and establish an efficient communication system for school staff to be aware of disciplinary actionsWork with individuals and small groups of students who have difficulty in meeting the behavioral expectations of the schoolWork with staff to create and implement behavior intervention plans to help support students who are having difficulties in the classroom settingServe as a point person for families regarding student discipline and behaviorMeet and discuss disciplinary incidents and actions with parents and studentsPlan activities that promote our positive school culturePerform related duties as assignedLNSU provides a generous compensation and benefit package and is an EOE.
