Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today the hospital is a 1101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine with more than 1400 Beaumont doctors on faculty.
Scope of Work
Performs Electrocardiograms in a variety of settings which could include outpatient the Emergency Department and all in-house locations. Maintains equipment. Will maintain sufficient inventory to efficiently operate the EKG services. Performs clerical duties such as computer entry filing recording and mailing and reports as needed. Completes all test orders in EPIC to ensure appropriate charges are processed.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Completion of EKG training either an exclusive EKG training program or as part of other educational programs. Prior work experience that included performing EKGs may be considered as fulfillment of this requirement.
Six months of experience as an EKG technician preferred.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.
Light typing.
Knowledge of normal and abnormal EKG data.
