The Contact Center team is looking for a hardworking software engineer to help take Zendesk products to the next level in terms of functionality and integrations. Youll be joining a team that works on our Voice products. Voice is a complex real-time application that needs to be robust scalable and maintainable. Youll have the passion patience and determination to deliver high quality software to meet our customers needs. Does this sound like you

What youll do

  • Work with your team to deliver software and features that delight our customers.

  • Participate in all stages of development learning to design implement test and ship code to production.

  • Pair and collaborate with more senior engineers for hands-on learning and feedback.

  • Write and maintain clean readable code adding automated tests to ensure quality.

  • Help troubleshoot issues and contribute to support efforts.

  • Engage in code reviews and rapid deployment under mentorship.

What you bring

  • Some familiarity with JavaScript (React) and with either Ruby/Rails or Golang.

  • A desire and willingness to learn new technologies and engineering practices.

  • Good communication skillsa sense of curiosity and eagerness to ask questions and accept feedback.

  • A collaborative spirit and excitement to work together to solve customer problems.

  • Some experience with Git or code repositories and a basic understanding of databases and web development.

Tech Stack & Tools

We code primarily in Ruby/Rails for the backend primarily React JS (Redux). We use MySQL Redis and Kafka for event processing.

The backbone of Zendesk Contact Center is built on AWS and Amazon Connect.

Our infrastructure is run on Kubernetes and our delivery pipeline is heavily reliant on Github & Github Actions once deployed we monitor using Datadog.

We communicate over Slack and use Zoom for meetings etc. Google Docs JIRA Confluence are our most used collaboration tools.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is z117000.00-z175000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities applicable experience and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus benefits or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.

Hybrid: In this role our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection collaboration learning and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
