Quality Assurance (QA) Technologist Food & Beverage Manufacturing
Location: East Toronto (Onsite)
Salary: $50000 $60000 per year benefits
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Quality Assurance Technologist to support and maintain high standards of food safety and quality within their facility. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented QA professional looking to build a career in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
In this hands-on role youll be an integral part of the Quality team ensuring compliance with industry regulations conducting inspections and tests and collaborating with production to uphold safety and quality protocols. If youre driven by accuracy process and continuous improvement this position offers an engaging path forward.
What Youll Do
Conduct routine inspections of the production floor to verify adherence to GMP HACCP and other food safety standards
Perform sampling and testing of raw materials in-process products and finished goods
Assist in the maintenance of quality systems including documentation and record-keeping
Support internal audits and assist in preparing for third-party inspections
Investigate and report deviations or non-conformances working with teams on corrective actions
Help train production staff on food safety and quality best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality and operational efficiency
What You Bring
13 years of experience in a QA or food safety role within food or beverage manufacturing
Diploma or degree in Food Science Microbiology or a related discipline
Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality systems (GMP HACCP BRCGS/SQF preferred)
Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team in a production environment
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
