Job Description

St Hildas School is one of Australias leading Pre-Prep to Year 12 Anglican Day and Boarding Schools for girls located on the Gold Coast of Queensland. Operations Manager

Permanent Full Time

About the role:

The Operations Manager supports the Director of Business & Operations to deliver effective leadership and management of the Schools non-academic operations. The Operations Manager will provide management oversight of a number of operational business service teams and other aspects of the Schools business operations so that the School runs efficiently safely and in alignment with its strategic goals. This will require exercising significant initiative and discretion and demonstrating loyalty confidentiality and support for the School at all times. Experience working in a large organisation is essential and prior experience within an educational environment is highly successful applicant brings significant experience in operations and facilities management with a focus on positive workplace cultures and high quality service delivery. You bring high level interpersonal and communication skills ensuring you can build and maintain stakeholder relationships and manage emergent issues with professionalism and in a manner that preserves relationships and builds trust in our respected brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Services
  • Grounds & Maintenance
  • Cleaning
  • Capital infrastructure projects
  • Events and Community
  • Retail including caf and uniform shop
  • Operations vendor management such as catering

Depending on the candidates experience the portfolio may also include:

  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Administration and Reception
  • Other areas as requested.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business operations facilities management or a related field (desirable)
  • Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety (desirable).
  • Experience in a school not-for-profit or complex multi-stakeholder environment highly regarded
  • Current Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current CPR/First Aid Qualification
  • Willingness to have your name submitted to the Anglican Churchs Professional Standards Register.
