Certified Underground Mine Technicians
Redi Services is currently seeking a Certified Underground Mine Electricians to support underground operations near Craig Colorado. This is a safety-sensitive role responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical infrastructure critical to mine functionality. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with strong troubleshooting skills a proactive attitude and a commitment to working safely in challenging underground conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install remove repair and replace electrical components used in mining operations
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems motor controls switchgears
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspection of electrical and/or instrumentation systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions
- Work independently and alongside maintenance and operations teams to ensure consistent electrical support
- Complete documentation and comply with electrical code and mine safety regulations
- Support various construction and infrastructure projects underground as assigned
- Maintain personal tools and ensure proper use of company tools and equipment
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Colorado Underground Mine Electrician Certification (Required)
- Completion of a certified electrical electronics or instrumentation program OR 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
- Working knowledge of AC/DC systems underground power distribution and instrumentation
- Basic to intermediate troubleshooting skills in motor control systems variable frequency drives and pneumatic controls
- Ability to rotate shifts (days swings graves) and work overtime weekends and holidays as needed
- Must pass pre-employment testing
- Valid drivers license required

- Must provide and maintain a minimum set of personal tools
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in confined spaces and harsh underground environments
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Navigate uneven terrain ladders and equipment with appropriate PPE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in underground coal mining
- Familiarity with MSHA regulations and underground mine electrical safety practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Hourly Pay: $35.00-$37.00 based on experience and certifications
