Job Description
Responsibilities:
Assist the General Counsel and coordinate with the Chief Information Security Officer in developing and implementing legal strategies to facilitate key commercial corporate intellectual property cybersecurity privacy analytics and technology objectives ensuring those objectives are in compliance with best practices and applicable research and healthcare law and regulations. Draft review and negotiate a variety of commercial technology privacy and other contracts and agreements supporting supply chain finance and operations including strategic collaborations innovation and emerging technologies. Support the Compliance Department the CISO and other leaders on all privacy initiatives including Business Associate and Data Use Agreements as well as investigations incident responses and providing legal advice on related policies and privacy and security issues on an ad hoc basis. Ensure compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations applicable to the healthcare industry. Provide legal advice and guidance on various legal issues including but not limited torisks associated with data use security data privacy healthcare law corporate law and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements: Juris Doctorate from accredited school of law; License to practice law in state of South Carolina 5 years of In-house counsel experience in healthcare.
