Qualifications:
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing AD
2 years of RN experience in acute inpatient hospital setting preferred (LPN/LVN exp is recognized)
Compensation:
ASN RNs: $27.50/hr - $45.55/hr DOE
BSN RNs: $28.75/hr - $46.80/hr DOE
Evening night & weekend differential: $3.50/hr
Call paid at 10% of hourly rate time & a half if called in
Responsibilities:
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized care for oncology patients
Administer chemotherapy immunotherapy and other cancer treatments safely and effectively
Monitor patients for side effects and complications of cancer therapies
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the cancer journey
Coordinate care with oncologists pharmacists social workers and other interdisciplinary team members
Manage central lines ports and infusion devices
Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome or febrile neutropenia
Document assessments interventions and patient responses accurately in the medical record
Advocate for patient needs and help navigate treatment plans and support services
Participate in clinical trials research initiatives or quality improvement projects as applicable
Maintain knowledge of evolving oncology protocols medications and evidence-based practices
Follow all safety and infection control standards including safe handling of hazardous drugs
