- Provide holistic medical social services to YKDRH patients and their families
- Assist patients in solving or alleviating physical social emotional and environmental problems
- Support patients of all ages from prenatal (intra-uterine) to elderly
- Work to help patients achieve or maintain optimal health
- Deliver social services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and social workers
- May perform supervisory tasks in supervisors absence
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Preferably work in cross-cultural settings with bilingual skills in English and Yupik considered an asset
- Complete required documentation and communication with patients agencies and communities
- Use basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Utilize mathematical skills for basic calculations and data interpretation
- Maintain a valid Alaska State drivers license
- Must have or be eligible for State of Alaska Masters level social work licensure (LMSW)
- Requires at least one year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Adhere to organizations policies and support its mission
