Summary

An inventory auditor involves continuous accuracy check of perpetual inventory stock quantity records for material control and accounting purposes. An inventory auditor investigates discrepancies locates error sources from inventories and initiates corrective actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and execute daily inventory adjustments

Maintain inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs

Count and reconcile randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations

Compile verify and report periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in inventory

Assists with physical inventory preparation and execution.

Assist in the development of projects and make recommendations to appropriate internal teams

Ensure compliance to inventory processes and procedures as well as compliance to contractual obligations with strategic partners.

Enter audit adjustments by category into PDI reporting software

Performs inventory audits of paperwork and data entry at the receiving dock each department transfer area and any of the outbound areas

Reviews daily sales reports and negative inventory reports to locate discrepancies in data.

Responsible for time interacting with personnel in each of the departments to learn of any problems that may have occurred or issues that are unresolved.

Communicates on a regular basis with off-site warehousing and materials manager
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications include:

The position typically requires excellent communication skills both oral and written and experience in inventory counting

Knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

Previous experience with Microsoft software including Excel Word and Outlook as well as experience with inventory software.

High school diploma or the equivalent

2 years experience in warehouse preferably in inventory or Supply Change Management and/or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Work well unsupervised and be self-motivated.

Two-year associate degree in Supply Chain Management Purchasing Management or related field and/or equivalent experience.

APICS Certification

Working Conditions

The job is performed under extreme temperature variations and some hazardous conditions.

Working hours will be spent on the floor tracking and organizing inventory.

Time will also be spent in an office processing paperwork.

Physical labor such as lifting and moving heavy boxes of supplies may be required on a regular basis

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42 significant stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling throughout an 8-12-hour day.

The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift push pull or carry objects.

The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.

The ability to bend stretch twist or reach with your body arms and/or legs.
