OCCUPATIONAL INSTRUCTOR MACHINE TECHNOLOGYFull Time School Calendar Year - The Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative (LPVEC) is looking for an immediate full time opening for the 2025-2026 school the direction of the Director of Occupational Education the following outline of the roles and responsibilities is intended to provide a broad overview but is subject to change according to the needs of LPVEC as required by the Executive Director.1)To provide all instruction and training necessary to guarantee the quantity and quality of learning experiences to qualify students for placement in entry level positions in a related field.2)Based from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Vocational Technical Education Frameworks to develop and implement a curriculum scope and sequence to teach the prescribed course of study.3)To remain current on specific job entry skill requirements and evolving technologies in the industry through appropriate professional development activities.4)To develop and maintain course syllabi develop lesson plans and participate in competency-based curriculum development to ensure the highest levels of student learning.5)To work to engage and encourage students while respecting individual abilities and progress during individual and group instruction and remain current on specific job entry skill requirements and evolving technologies in the industry through appropriate professional development activities.6)To establish safety procedures for the program and provide supervision to all students to ensure they safely and effectively operate the wide range of tools and equipment.7)To assist and participate in recruitment exploratory and public relations activities which promote career-technical education and to maintain an active and vigorous program advisory committee composed of local industry business community parent student and member school representatives.8)To support the Cooperative Education Coordinator in identifying appropriate cooperative work sites and potential student placement opportunities
