The new position of Financial Analyst - Receivables Management is designed to take on more senior responsibilities and work directly with the Team Leader in the day-to-day management of team workload as first point of contact for the team. This role will be primarily responsible for the provision of financial analysis and reporting for high profile clients within group business serving as key liaison supporting Sales and Underwriting department while providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Development and / or preparation of financial analysis and specialized client reports and queries in support of high-profile client and also responsible for more complex inquiries requiring more in-dept research and analysis.

  • Work directly with the Team Leader to provide support the Receivables Management Analysts in the production of their day to day activities.

  • Onboarding of new group clients into Finance systems and processes as required.

  • Responsible for Self-Billed Application and Master spreadsheets including up-keep of the app training of the staff and being key resource for IT.

  • Development and documentation of new business processes to leverage and enhanced new functionality as required.

  • Support the Financial Systems Business Analyst team in the development testing and support of the enhancement of financial data and systems.

  • Team Trainer - train new and current employees on the day-to-day task and new processes.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in finance / accounting of equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years experience in a financial reporting/accounting role.

  • Knowledge of Medavie Blue Cross MAAX enrolment and billing systems and knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP would be considered an asset.

  • Advanced problem solving and analysis skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Preference will be given to those who can demonstrate the ability to be able to write advanced formulas and macros (VBA).

  • Knowledge of data management principles with an ability to organize data effectively to meet business reporting and analysis requirements.

  • Ability to participate in User Acceptance Testing as required.

  • Experience in utilizing various query tools and accessing data bases/data warehouses to complete information requests (PLSQL).
