Job Description
Machine Vision Programmer / Machine Learning Engineer / Computer Vision Engineer required to join a Minnesota-based distributor and systems integrator specializing in industrial sensors barcode scanners and machine vision solutions for manufacturing and automation applications.
This is a hands-on customer-facing technical role focused on designing implementing and supporting machine vision systems for industrial and manufacturing clients mainly in sectors like food packaging medical device manufacturing and general industrial production.

Responsibilities
- Support both internal sales teams and external clients in selecting machine vision cameras and designing complete vision system architectures.
- Develop expertise in industrial optics and illumination techniques for machine vision applications.
- Gain hands-on experience with our vision solutions through lab testing on-site fieldwork manufacturer training programs and weekly virtual training sessions.
- Collaborate directly with customers during on-site visits to lead end-to-end system integration and deployment.
- Develop and program machine vision software for image acquisition processing and real-time analysis of video streams.
- Optimize system performance by adjusting lighting setups fine-tuning image processing parameters and performing debugging and performance tuning in real-world production environments.
- Design or refine computer vision algorithms that enable automation systems to detect recognize and respond to visual data.
- Work closely with robotics engineers mechanical designers and automation teams to ensure seamless system functionality across the full automation stack.
- Integrate and configure a variety of industrial vision sensors and cameras (including 2D 3D infrared and SWIR) into automated machinery and software platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field such as: Engineering Computer Engineering etc
- Experience in a similar position such as Machine Vision Programmer / Machine Learning Engineer / Computer Vision Engineer dedicated to Machine Vision
- Experience with Cognex In Sight Explore In Sight Suite VisionPro LMI. Photoneo 3D and DataSensing software is advantageous
- Commutable or willing to relocate to Minnesota
