Republic Extrusions - Paint Manager

Position: Paint Manager

Location: Megargel Texas

U.S. Position: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Not eligible for work/visa sponsorship

Company: Republic Extrusions Team Pride Extrusions located in Megargel Texas is a leader in providing high-quality aluminum extrusion products and services tailored for various industrial needs. Our facility sits on 10 acers with 85k square feet of manufacturing space with over 70 employees where we extrude aluminum paint with powder-coat finish and fabricate (CNC machining and punching) material.

Summary: We are seeking a full-time Paint Manager who is responsible for oversight and execution of paint line production on a day-to-day basis ensuring production is conducted safely on time and on budget. The position requires a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with customers employees and suppliers while ensuring that Republic Extrusions remains compliant and continually improves in all OSHA and environmental related issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:

  • Analyzing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensuring that safety quality and productivity are monitored corrected and improved as required.
  • Monitor operations for safety environmental and housekeeping concerns and ensure action is taken to protect the health and welfare of our employees and our environment.
  • Scheduling and coordinating all paint line activities to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Identifying and leading initiatives to enhance efficiency reduce defects and optimize paint line performance.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance functions and assist the Maintenance Manager in establishing priorities and initiatives to ensure equipment availability and reliability (maximize up-time).
  • Work with Quality personnel to monitor quality of product being painted and respond accordingly. Establishing and implementing quality systems monitoring paint application inspecting finished products and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Actively drive Continuous Improvement and LEAN Initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Paint line production employees.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude understanding of powder coat painting processes good communication in a team environment as well as critical thinking skills. Must be goal oriented to achieve daily production targets.

The ideal Candidate will be:

  • A hands-on Manager with experience running powder coat painting processes.
  • Relentlessly focused on driving Safety Quality and Customer Service
  • Experience in successfully developing strong teams and strong relationships with internal stakeholders suppliers and customers.
  • Experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
  • Proven ability to Lead to Collaborate and to Execute.

Qualifications / Competencies / Knowledge / Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years managerial experience in a manufacturing / plant environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in United States of America. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed). Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Preferred Qualification: Strong knowledge and experience in extrusion finishing processes.
