SG2 Recruiting in partnership with Identity Strategy Partners is seeking a Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (C-WMD) Staff Officer (Level 1) to support a critical intelligence and defense initiative within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)).
About the Mission
As the principal advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (USD(I&S)) leads all Department of Defense intelligence counterintelligence and security efforts. With authority over agencies including the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) the USD(I&S) oversees policy creation intelligence budgeting and operational integration to support national defense priorities.
This role supports the Sensitive Activities and Special Programs (SASP) Office focusing on counter-proliferation efforts to address global threats from chemical biological nuclear weapons and delivery systems.
Position: C-WMD Staff Officer (Level 1)
Location: Pentagon Mark Center or other DoD sites in the National Capital Region
Work Schedule: Full-time in-person (Ad-hoc telework with prior Government approval)
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with eligibility for SAP access
Salary Range: $120000 $125000 annually

Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver briefings and staff packages on C-WMD topics to OUSD(I&S) senior leadership including the Secretary of Defense and National Security Council.
Evaluate commercial technologies for WMD counter-proliferation to identify opportunities to streamline R&D or eliminate redundant efforts.
Assist in creating frameworks and processes across the DoD IC and interagency community ensuring correct application of Title authorities (e.g. Title 10 Title 50).
Represent the C-WMD mission at working-level meetings and conferences; produce meeting notes after-action reports and policy recommendations.
Draft and coordinate time-sensitive technical and strategic staffing packages across DoD and the intelligence community.
Support mission integration efforts related to counter-WMD strategy technologies and operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree
Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for SAP access
At least 1 year of experience producing briefings and reports within the DoD or Intelligence Community
At least 1 year of experience in counter-proliferation of WMDs related delivery systems or associated technologies
