  • Plus AMHP (Approved Mental Health Professionals)Honorarium 3004.15 (paid monthly 250.35) andAMHP extended hours paid at 22 per hour(This role includes performance related pay progressionper annum)

Your role and responsibilities

As an AMHP you will be part of a dedicated team delivering a 24-hour service across Suffolk. Youll work flexibly across any of our three rota areas - Ipswich Bury St Edmunds and Waveney - depending on daily demand. This will be a countywide role operating on any rota in Suffolk where the demand is required on the council working day is 8.45am - 5.20pm (Mon to Thurs) and 8.45am - 4.25pm (Fri).

On a typical day you will:

  • carry out a full range of Mental Health Act duties including assessments in both hospital and community settings
  • travel occasionally to out-of-county hospitals and community locations
  • undertake CTO work guardianship applications/renewals and warrant applications
  • act as the AMHP triage worker and represent the service at multi-agency meetings
  • promote a high-performance culture that is flexible innovative and focused on continuous improvement
  • support the AMHP Team Manager in reviewing service delivery and escalating risks where appropriate.

You will need
