Job Description

Applicants shouldpossess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with less than five years of postdoctoralexperience. The ideal candidate should have a relevant technical expertise andstrong communication and writing skills as well as relevant technical expertise (i.e. experience with patch-clamp recording techniquesand knowledge of ion channel biophysics and/or muscle physiology).

An NIH funded postdoctoralposition is open in the laboratory of Roger Bannister at the University ofMaryland School of Medicine. The successful candidate will utilize heterologous systems and rodent models tostudy how altered CaV channel function contributes to muscle atrophyand the loss of motor units in aging and neuromuscular disease ( lateral sclerosis).

Applicants should possess aPh.D. and/or M.D. degree with less than five years of postdoctoral ideal candidate should have arelevant technical expertise and strong communication and writing position is funded and projected to begin in September 2019 or shortlythereafter.
