Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant/Scribe to join our team at Cardiovascular Care in Wichita Medical Assistant/Scribe will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office.
Responsibilities
- Collect vital signs and document basic medical history
- Scribe for the Provider during Clinic Operation when necessary
- Receive and triage patient messages
- Update and scan medical records
- Distribute correspondence memos letters faxes and forms
- Prep patient charts for next day clinics
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms
- Completing medication refill requests
- Travel to satellite clinics (Newton Marion Hesston Valley Center St. Theresa hospital) may be required with mileage reimbursement
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or certified nurses assistant
- Experience as a Medical Scribe preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Experience with use of electronic medical records
- Experience with EKGs and placing monitors is preferred but not required
