Per Diem Cardiac Surgery Opportunity Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie New York (75 minutes north of New York City)
Vassar Brothers Medical Center part of Nuvance Health is seeking per diem cardiac surgery call coverage to support our award-winning cardiac surgery team. Our employed practice consists of 3 cardiac surgeons and a dedicated team of allied health professionals including 24/7/365 in-house PA coverage. Vassar is located in Poughkeepsie New York about 75 minutes north of New York City in the suburban Mid-Hudson Valley region of the state with easy train access to New York City.
The program performs the full range of cardiac services including CABG valve repair advanced aortic surgery ECMO and structural heart procedures. The ideal candidate will be board certified with at least 5 years of post-fellowship experience and will have availability to provide call coverage on an ongoing basis (weekends and /or weekdays).

Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a brand new 696000-square-foot eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region recently adding Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Vassar has established centers of excellence in cardiac services cancer care and women and childrens health services. Vassar is consistently ranked as one of the strongest cardiac programs in the United States and one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.
The Hudson Valley of New York boasts a terrific quality of life. From hiking biking and boating to cafes art galleries and local farmers markets this beautiful suburban location offers a wide array of 4 season recreational activities.
