Job Description

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have at least (A) five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional administrative supervisory or managerial experience in business administration business management public administration public management clinical administration or clinical management of which (B) at least one (1) year must have been in a project management supervisory or managerial capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.

Substitutions:

I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required (A) experience.

II. A Bachelors degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.

III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience.

IV. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required (A) experience.

Childrens Trust operating under the Executive Office of Education is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in Massachusetts. Position Overview:

The Childrens Trust is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Public Policy to spearhead its government relations and policy agenda. As a key member of the External Affairs team the Director will lead initiatives that shape legislation advocate for systemic change and advance policies that strengthen families and protect children across the Commonwealth.

This is a strategic leadership role ideal for a candidate with established relationships with MA legislators deep expertise in public policy advocacy and coalition-building who thrives in a collaborative mission-driven environment. The Director of Public Policy will work closely with other state agencies and report directly to the Chief External Affairs Officer at Childrens Trust.

Government Relations & Advocacy (40%)

Policy Research Analysis & Communication (15%)

Legislative Strategy & Budget Advocacy (30%)

Capacity Building & Internal Collaboration (15%)
